Before you get started
What is free, and when do I need an account?
The six calculator widgets are free with attribution and need no signup. Developer docs, the SDK download and the fictional demo are public. Create an account and activate the Free Developer profile to manage keys and use the 100-start monthly allowance. Failed or cancelled reads after authorization still count; same-month retries with the same request ID do not count twice.
Does a local parser mean report data can never leave my product?
The SDK reads documents locally; the access API needs a secret key and random request ID, not the report. Your integration still controls its own scripts, consent and any later storage or sharing. Local processing is not a compliance certification or exemption. Review the integration and license terms for your use case.
What are the report-reading limits?
PDF, PNG and JPEG files up to 20 MB; PDFs up to 30 pages. Extraction is partial and layouts vary. A person must check the fields. Combined three-bureau reports, scores and complete payment histories are not supported. USD and CAD are explicit currencies, not converted values.
Can I remove attribution or use embeds to guarantee backlinks?
Keep the visible My Credit Signal attribution. Generated links are qualified with rel="nofollow". Widgets are for useful education and referrals, not a guarantee of search ranking credit.
